Owner & Founder
Michelle Lessner
Michelle was born and raised on Kent Island and grew up boating on the Chesapeake Bay. After a career at UPS she changed gears and started a mobile marine service, Ships Ahoy Inc, in 2007. For years she installed many brands of foam decking product and realized that the turn around time was often not conducive to the shorter Chesapeake Bay boating season. So, in 2017 she purchased her own CNC machines and launched ShipsDek specifically targeting boaters of the Mid-Atlantic region. She prides herself and her product on quick turn around times, attention to detail, and a personalized customer experience!
Designer
Emiliy Pittinger
Emily was born and raised in Pasadena, Maryland. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Design from Towson University. She has been a proud member of the ShipsDek team since March 2021. Outside of work Emily enjoys spending her time with her husband, four dogs, gardening and traveling.

Kim Rausch
Kim was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland and has been at ShipsDek since Summer 2022. She loves to fish and play softball in her spare time. She also enjoys exploring the outdoors with her 3 year old granddaughter and watching her be fearless holding any animals or creatures like her Mom Mom.

John Peterson
John was born and raised in New Jersey and currently resides in Stevensville, Maryland. He's an avid bike rider / bike racer and enjoys downhill skiing, loves dogs and beer. John has worked in the marine industry for the past couple years and has been with ShipsDek for the past 8 months. Before that he had many careers including network engineer, data recovery specialist, butcher and certified tree climber.
